Walking among the great
"It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant..." Matthew 20:26
Sunday, the Lord's day. Day of rest, worship, reflection.
What a privilege to be among God's beloved people. Amongst the Naomis, Ruths, and Lydias. Hearing the preacher say, "Look, see Jesus washing the disciples' feet as the cross looms." And reminding us that we are weary pilgrims on the road to heaven, bruised and bruising others with large planks from our eyes. Yet, He loves us. Weary, sinners. How He loves us with our planks and all.
The servant men, husbands, fathers. Worshipping Him. Humility. Josephs, Peters, and Nathans. On the road to Zion. Servant pillars.
One brought from darkness, into light. Proclaiming this new birth, through water. “Are you the one who is to come, or shall we look for another?”
"the blind receive their sight and the lame walk, lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them." (Matthew 11) A Mormon is saved.
Thank you for Sabbath rest, for bounteous privilege. I walk amongst greatness, sweet pilgrim greatness. You love them Lord, help me to do likewise.
**I do not know why I am submitting here. A writing conference scholarship. Perhaps someone else may be interested? Maybe you might step out? There is one day left to try. I do not want to be famous, I do not want to sell a book. Yet, my husband says take a little chance and I always want to learn. Thank you for this opportunity.
