Salvage Treasures & Sprucing Up for the Holidays

You simply cannot be the first person to a salvage sale, have a 15 minute head start on the crowd, and not have a plan.

Since I was a newbie, I knew I had to keep my expectations low and be strategic (a small budget kept things in perspective too). One thing on my mental list was a cloche. Only I didn't know it was called a cloche. This is what it's all about, learning.

O.K., it's about acquiring too.
For some reason I wanted salvage, metal type finials. I was searching for larger ones to display my vintage hats, but immediately fell in love with these darlings. The price was fantabulous so I couldn't pass!
My search for an ornament, jewelery and all around "chachkie" holder was productive. Love this shabby tree!

I have three more items to share with you, but they are currently residing in my antique booth. Will see tonight whether they found a good home or not!
Decorating my ledge with items already in my home. With the exception of the reindeer (thanks mom!). Just a little inspiration from the creative folks at Sweet Salvage!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone, and happy sprucing up your home!!
