Pausing and thanking, among other things.
It comes in measured waves, this picking business. You go out, you search, you bring home, you prepare, you inventory, you create, you place.
Then you do it all again.
Somewhere in the breaks, you have to pause. Take a deep breath. And organize.
I do some of my best creative thinking in the middle of the chaos. But it can't stay that way.
Because creativity gets overwhelmed with it all.
So I stack and stage.
Pretty up our place.
Put the bottles away. If only for a time.
And if that time includes my husband being unemployed for a few months, then I trust. And wait.
Wait for the good news that came the other day, news that my husband found a wonderful job.
So I pause once more, this time to give thanks.
