Ephemera

ephemera:
noun, plural e·phem·er·a
1. anything short-lived or ephemeral.
2. ephemera, items designed to be useful or important for only a short time, especially pamphlets, notices, tickets, etc.

Yes, that was last weekend's junking theme. Ephemera.

I love ephemera. And there is, so I've heard, a whole "ephemera" loving culture out there. Somewhere. Well, you know who you are.

And they're quite passionate about it. So I've been told.

I just like the word, "ephemera". Say it with me now three times...ephemera, ephemera, ephemera.

Well don't expect to get back to Kansas or anything now. Just having a little quirky fun.
What to do? What to do? Can't decide whether to sell these lovelies individually for someone else to trash...ehem, I mean "create" artistic diy projects, ooooorrrrrrr, create my own mad scientist pieces with them. I'm pretty much leaning towards the former. So it's anyone's guess as to how they'll end up. But let's just enjoy a few of them for now? Shall we?

I mean, the sweetest lady saw me perusing through a box. Perhaps the drool foaming out of my mouth tipped her off, but she observed how I loved them and gave me the most outstanding offer for the entire collection. How could I say no? How could I, I say?
Fonts. Colors. Old Print.

Yes, I smelled them. Took a deep whiff.
Wouldn't you?
Liar.
Remember Lucille Ball and her saxaphone piping out "Glow Worm"?
Old printed addresses. Swooning.
Wonder who occupies the spot now. Dang google. Takes all the fun out of wondering...
...but we can still enjoy...
...and my personal favorite. Hand written composition.
Oh the wondering that can be wondered!
