Wicked Sweetness

It was difficult to chisel down the choices of photos to post from this month's Designer Preview Party at Sweet Salvage on 7th Ave., but alas...the task is done.
Since I began at the very beginning in my previous post, I thought I'd go all the way to the back of the store. To the bathroom hallway to be precise.
And since we're already near the bathrooms, let's just go into them shall we? I'll bet you've never seen a men's room quite like this?
Complete with doll heads and industrial lamps? Oh no you haven't!!
Pumpkin girl!! Ta~da!
And across the hall? The women's bathroom is not to be outdone.
Why yes, that is a head of cauliflower floating in a punch bowl full of purple water. What else would it be?
O.K. Let's move on now, we have so much to see.
Tablescapes, tablescapes! Oh! My!
The bar is set pretty high gals for Thanksgiving decorating.
Don't feel pressure.
Be inspired!
Very inspired.
I'll just take this entire vignette, thank you very much, and just set it right in my dining room.
White and grey "swooniness" (don't care if that's not a word...it should be).
Have I mentioned before that I love old, rusty mattress springs?
Well if I didn't, I should have.
All right, let's get down to the details. These folks work so hard that I feel I must preserve a few snapshots of the nitty gritty that you rarely see on the first day of their sale?

Why not, you may ask?

One word is needed to describe opening day: mayhem. Pure, mayhem.

I luff, yes luff, these old jars sporting a magnifying glass with vintage graphics affixed. Luff.
gah!! Those eyes!! Those spooky, spooky eyes!
Here's a whole lot of em' in case one is not enough for you.
Dear silver plate, how I love when thou art displayed so beautifully.
What do you call it when you take simple objects and display them in such a unique way as to prompt you to take a photograph of them for your blog?? Genuis.

Flashlights. I want one.
Here's "Steampunk's" display...shhhhhh, please don't mention this to anyone, but this is one of my favorite vendors...shhhhhh....
One of the killer drawbacks to the Preview Party was that you couldn't buy anything :O(. So alas, I bid this chair adeui. Complete with sobbing and rocking back and forth to console myself.

Not really. But it sounded good.
Industrial. Lights. Make. Me. Smile.
Oh yes, makes me frown too sister.
I am aghast!!
More sweet details.
Aaaah, if thankfullness only came in a bottle. What a happy world this would be!
Even the pooch was spruced up for the occassion!
If I were a dead vermin, I would lay on a vintage typewriter as well. I would, I simply would.
Mwa, ha, ha...I vant to drink your blood.
All kinds of birds showed up too...black ones...
white ones...
and yes, the wise.
Sweet Salvage, keeping the light on for us each month.

Forgot to mention that they treated those who attended the Preview Party to a delicious spread from Postino's with a veritable offering of delectable wine to boot.
And for the entire evening, I am most sincerely and abundantly...thankful.
