From My Home to Yours
So I was thinking last night as I was dusting the inside of my china hutch, a once a year event mind you...by the way, how does so much dust accumulate in one year? I mean, it's not like I open and close my hutch routinely. And those little crevices? How does it pile up in the corners and require so much elbow grease to remove...so, back to my thinking. As I was thinking,
my mind wandered to a few years back when we lost our home. I honestly do not miss that home. We've been renting for several years and sometimes I truly forget we're renting.
Now this is not due to some virtuous character I would so very much like to claim. No, it's this: God changed my heart.
Dusting off my little doo~dads and memory holders made me realize that. You don't need to spend to the hilt at Target every year to create an over the top gorgeous pinterest perfect Christmas home. No, just own your home, rented, borrowed or otherwise. And the people in it.
Own it in the sense that you can love your family to the hilt and make the best of what's been given to you from above.
And you may be surprised at what you can create with just a few thingamajigs left over from Christmas' past.
So here's to making your home a very merry place, indeed!
Even my dear old, broken footed, blow mold Santa agrees!!
