Gift of Industry
When I was a teenager, I would get up early in the summer time and go to work with my father. I loved watching the commuters scramble down the freeway just before dusk and tried to imagine each traveler's occupation.
Now, with a rather large lump in my throat, I am sitting in the passenger seat again with my youngest son as he takes the long trek down the freeway to his work. I am rather proud of him, of all the men in my life who work so hard. Getting up early is not my forte', yet these guys do it without a grumble each day. My hat is off.
Not only is it a privilege to drive with my son in the wee hours of the morning, for an oh~too~short~season of life, but I would have missed these views today if I had opted for sleeping in.Glad my husband brought that coffee bedside this morning.
Seeing the world wake up. Good morning sun!
Good morning industry!"It is the hard-working farmer who ought to have the first share of the crops." 2 Timothy 2:6
