Shabby Chic'n it Today

Nursing my disappointment of not being able to attend the "Sweet Salvage" occasional sale this weekend with a closer to home estate sale.

I am temporarily appeased. Generally speaking, I'm not a shabby chic kind of gal.
Yet how could I pass on such a darling chandelier?!?
I just couldn't, I tell you. Could. Not.
Someone has to preserve these dear lights. Might as well be me.
pure. sweetness.
And here's the little sister. Some little girl somewhere needs to have this in her room. Stat.
I went searching for industrial and industrial I did find.
Just one more to make a pair. Soothing to the eyes, lines and metal. Oy!Truly the most satisfying element of estate sales are meeting the family members whose loved one has passed away. To talk and share with them at this tender time in their lives is priceless. I consider it a privilege and I walk lightly upon this hallowed ground.

In light of that, this dear blow mold Santa shall remain in my home. The family gave it to me for free since the platform upon which he stood was broken.

Welcome Santa friend, welcome.
Also welcoming this fancy lady from Italy.

Just a few of the treasures I found this morning. Happy hunting out there!!
