Cottage Industry
Cottage Industry:
noun
1. the production, for sale, of goods at home, as the making of handicrafts by rural families.
2. any small-scale, loosely organized industry.
I love history. And, I love vintage items. The two go hand in hand. Some of my favorite items are related to housewives of the past. When faced with difficult economic circumstances, they became quite the industrious hubs in the home.
This is why I am so excited to be a part of the unique store, "Green Table Gifts" in Chandler. The owner has pulled around 50 artists together, bringing their creative talents to the forefront. All items are made (or found, in my case :O)) locally. I'm still pinching myself that even have a little spot here. I have met some of the most amazing women and I couldn't be happier about it.
Almost feels like I'm part of making history myself.
Speaking of "Cottage Industry", I want to give a shout out to Miss Savanna Lee with "Savanna Lee Photography". I hired her to take a few head shots of me so I could update my blog and pass them on to Green Table. Then I roped her into doing product pics, which I needed, and couldn't be more thrilled with how they turned out! Thank you Savanna!
We did this all last minute. My fault, of course. To Savanna's credit, she pulled off some stunning shots despite my crazy requests and ideas. Not to mention that I threw a bunch of stuff from my living room floor into the back of my truck...no planning whatsoever. Story. Of. My. Life.
Not bad at all. No sireee.
Good for me. Unfortunately for you, many of the items in these photographs have already been sold.
This one is my favorite. Love the perspective. Not to mention the bottles, wood, metal and rust.
Funny story about the plant in this pic. Only I can't tell you about it.
Happy, thankful smile. Somebody pinch me. Please.
