FOLK Magazine

If you've read my blog for a while, you may have discerned a few of my passions. Perhaps you picked up, along the way, on my love for all things vintage, history and good ol' American made.

So when I find a group of people, younger people mind you, who are not only passionate about the same things, but are home grown right here in the U. S. of A. entrepeneurs...how can I not tell you about it?

Meet FOLK.

Hello FOLK!!

FOLK, meet my readers.

Hello Readers!!

FOLK is a magazine. My readers are real people. But do not be dismayed, FOLK is being produced by real people. Young people, generation Y people. We like people here...I digress...just look at this and I'll stop writing now:
Not only does the subject matter interest, inspire, intrigue...(running out of words that begin with the letter "i")me, but the whole premise behind their magazine makes me want to get behind this ambitious group of folks and shout a big "yeeee~haw"!! Read it in their own words: "AMERICAN LIVING BY GENERATION Y. FOLK brings the perspective of the rising generation to present what it means to be part of the American culture today. As well as standing up through a grassroots movement to share the American story, preserve the past, and further the Made in America movement. The time is now to show we care too. Devoted to presenting a fresh and youthful interpretation of simple country lifestyles. We focus on the stories that make America our collective home sweet home. FOLK reaches across the many representations of American Country style to celebrate personal expression in our homes, businesses, and lives. We are all about REAL AMERICAN LIVING: the country, sweet tea, indie music, antiques, road trips, small towns, comfort, home, artists, locally grown and locally made, supporting small businesses and main street America, one-of-a-kind art, open spaces, photography, patriotism, simple living.... and the little things."
See? I told you. If you want to enjoy more "FOLK", you can get your own genuine, U. S. of A. subscription right here. Yes, right here I said. Not only will you be supporting a great group of entrepeneurs, but you will get a sweet little magazine sent right to your very home 6 times a year for a mere $25.00. Have you seen the price of magazines lately? And, oh, on a side note...I'll be entered to win a sweet little promotional contest for bloggers. Just a side note ;O). See, you'll be helping me, you'll be helping these Folks, and you can sit back in your ol' rocker and enjoy a good old fashioned magazine by a new fashioned group of youngen's (not that we're old...just sayin').

Oh, Deb . . . I can see you lost for hours in this one! :) Looks great to me. I liked the "sweet sweater pumpkins" and the homemade donuts recipe!
