Severe Thankfulness Alert (O.K., I admit it...there's some bragging involved as well)!!!
Our family has experienced sustained trials for the past 7 something years. So, as you can imagine, the sweet serendipity of this recent Thanksgiving holiday was a welcomed (understatement!) gift!!
To begin, my 18 year old son sold his very first photograph!! It was a charity event for Hope Women's Center and I couldn't be more proud of him.
If you've been reading my blog for some time, you may recognize the above photograph as I've used it as a header and it's on my business cards. His former art teacher and I have been pushing, ehem, I mean..."encouraging" him to enter his photographs in contests, etc. We are hoping this is the boost that gets him going.
Yeah, I know. I'm his mom. But I think he has a gift for creative perspective (I would say it's genius, but you wouldn't trust me because, well, I'm his mom) and concepts. For example. It only took him a few minutes to come up with the above idea, not to mention that he literally took the bike through the water and came up with the tire tracks on the bridge. Please pardon me while I go find the buttons that just flew off my sweater jacket...
As if that isn't enough to be thankful (bragging about) for (you must be sick of me by now), I just have to introduce you to my second grandson!! Ta~Da!!! Here I am holding him for the very first time. You can see that I'm just a wee bit happy, just a wee bit mind you ;O).
Yeah, this Thanksgiving was a winner. And I had absolutely nothing to do with it.
All is absolute grace.
