There Is a Fountain (Oh yes, there is!)

Funny how just a few days ago I wrote a blog post about "Stability" as I have been anything but stable since Monday. I have Vertigo and any time I stand, suddenly turn, or just plain move my whole head whirls and reels. All I want to do is lay down in one position, eat Saltine crackers and drink Sprite. I'm slowly getting better and more "stable" with each day but I'm finding this malady quite comical at best.

By God's grace I am not discouraged even with the amount of work I'm falling behind in. Somehow God is helping me to rest in Him, in the truths about His grace and what Christ has done for me in shedding His own blood. Yes, His blood has been on my mind. Bringing stability in the small, irritating trial of Vertigo.

I read this today from the book by Octavius Winslow, "The Precious Things of God":

"It is precious blood, because it is virtually the blood of God. ~

It (His blood) possesses all the worth and glory of the Godhead-all the divine virtue and efficacy of the Deity. From this it derived its power to satisfy, its virtue to atone, its efficacy to cleanse. And this is the reason why one drop of this precious blood, falling upon the sin-burdened conscience, in a moment dissolves the weighty load, and fills the soul with joy and peace in believing. And this is why there exists not a stain of human guilt which the atoning blood of Immanuel cannot utterly and for ever efface. Why, in a word, it is blood that "cleanseth from ALL sin."
