Summer is for Unpacking

Trying not to get impatient with the progress I'm making on setting up our new home. Besides, God and family are most important...unpacking and decorating can wait. It's simply a house, after all.

I have a smaller kitchen now, so downsizing and creativity are a must. The ledge above the cabinets is taller than our last home. Tonight I took a little time to doodle on my treasured Starbucks chalk board.

I'm an amateur and new to the art of chalk board lettering, but I figured it was time to expand from doodling on journal pages to the big time: the board.

This was my first attempt at free handing it and totally using my own imagination. Not as easy as it looks on Pinterest, I'm telling ya, and definitely not perfect but it fits for now.

Also squeezed in a shot of my "G" I picked up via "Steampunk". Love it!
