This Is The Way We Wash Our Clothes

We've downsized considerably. I think I mentioned this before, but I have to see myself type it again so I can keep repeating the excuse as to why I have SO MUCH STUFF!

It's actually a God~send as I am enjoying the slow purge (that's been taking place over the past ??? months!)!! I am looking forward to having and maintaining, yes MAINTAINING...that's the key...a streamlined and organized home. But the process is ever so slow. I lost a whole loft!!!! An office!!!! Bookcases!!!!

Errr...I apologize for the intermittent screaming (in case you didn't know what I was doing) in exclamation points!!!!
The ideas are coming in spurts. And when I get a spurt, I run with it. I'm trying to make good use of what I already have without purchasing any more items.

Case in point. My laundry room. A sweet friend gave me a bundle of glorious linens. And because I don't like to do things the usual way, I covered a laundry room shelf with a darling little valance using my grandmother's clothes pins to hold. Hidden behind it are various cleaning supplies, rags and tools.
And since I lost SHELVES as well!!!!! I had to find a spot to host my "this and thats". So wa~la. My little laundry room will double as my craft supply spot.
Apologizing in advance for the poor photography, a confession is forthcoming. I went to IKEA. Yes, I caved and purchased a little cart that fit neatly next to my dryer. I'm a hypocrite. Thought you should know.
And because I am on a tight budget, as most of us these days, I do the best I can to make each nook and cranny just as nice as can be. A little light in a small corner goes a long way in brightening up what can seem like mundane domesticity. But, if that doesn't do the trick for you, well there's always this...
