Trust
I have four sons.
Each of them with a personality incredibly distinctive from the other. I don't know how God does that, puts such a group of different people together in one family. But he does. And I love it.
I love the varying characteristics about each one. Individually.
And just as individual as they are, they have each been effected by S.s' illness. In their own ways.
The ever "fixer" mom in me would love to make it all better, to go back in time knowing what I know now. And change sickness. Change circumstances not even related to sickness. But obviously that's not possible.
So I will trust God to work out His sovereign and unique plan for each of my sons. And I remember who He is again...
the One...
"who stretched out the heavens
and laid the foundations of the earth" ~ Isaiah 51:13b
and
"Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand
and marked off the heavens with a span,
enclosed the dust of the earth in a measure
and weighed the mountains in scales
and the hills in a balance" ~ Isaiah 40:12
and yes, even this...
"heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds" ~ Psalm 147:3
